Analysis: Lemont administrators rank 62nd in state for average pay

Administrators in Lemont Township High School District 210 earn an average of $137,608 per year, ranking 62nd out of 864 districts in Illinois, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2020 average is 17.8 percent higher than in 2016 and 4.7 percent lower than in 2011. District administrators make 23.6 percent more than the state average of $111,293.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Lemont School District in Cook County enrolled 1378 students in 2019-2020. There is an average of 162 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 171 to 1.
