Justice - Gerald "Jerry" W. Krygowski, Sr., age 70, passed away on October 29, 2025, following a massive stroke. Born on February 7, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, Jerry was known for bringing laughter and love to all those around him. Jerry was a loving husband to his wife, Nancy Krygowski, a devoted father to his sons, Gerald Jr. and Jeffrey, and a doting grandfather.

In his professional life, Jerry thrived as an Elevator Mechanic and valued member of Local 2 in the Constructor's union for over 40 years. Known for his quick wit and ability to diffuse tensions, Jerry was esteemed by his colleagues for his levity and experience.

Jerry's interests spanned a wide range, from golf with his unorthodox swing to precise bowling strikes, adept poker games, and craftsmanship. He delighted in turning ordinary items into works of art and regaled friends and family with his humorous stories and anecdotes.

Jerry's legacy of humor, craftsmanship, and love will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. A funeral service and time of remembrance will follow at 5:00 PM on the same day, with cremation rites to be observed.

Jerry's zest for life, craftsmanship, and sense of humor will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know him. Rest in peace, Jerry, as the memories of your laughter and love will live on in the hearts of those you touched.
