Report: Ridgeland spent $13,349 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Ridgeland School District 122 is up 32 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,151 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,349 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 2338 to 2391.

Ridgeland's spending in 2016-17 was 3 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
