Report: Burbank spent $10,580 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Burbank School District 111 is down 6 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,256 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,580 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3345 to 3570.

Burbank's spending in 2016-17 was 18 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
