Report: North Palos spent $11,637 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at North Palos School District 117 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,994 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,637 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3115 to 3329.

North Palos's spending in 2016-17 was 10 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
