School discipline: Which South Suburbs districts reported suspending the most girls?

Thornton Township High School District 205, Oak Lawn Community High School District 229 and Sandridge School District 172 reported the highest rate of girls suspended for any reason during the 2016-17 school year in South Suburbs, according to the latest report from the Illinois State Board of Education.

In this analysis, the incident rate is calculated by dividing the number of incidents by district enrollment.
