Report: Forest Ridge spent $8,318 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Forest Ridge School District 142 is down 7.4 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $8,986 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,318 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1600 to 1677.

Forest Ridge's spending in 2017-18 was 37.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
