Report: Chicago Heights spent $13,809 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Chicago Heights School District 170 is up 0.5 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $13,735 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,809 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3351 to 3183.

Chicago Heights's spending in 2017-18 was 3.5 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
