Report: Consolidated spent $16,385 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Consolidated High School District 230 is up 11.6 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $14,688 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $16,385 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 7841 to 7397.

Consolidated's spending in 2017-18 was 22.9 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
