Report: North Palos spent $11,264 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at North Palos School District 117 is up 2.4 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,998 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,264 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3202 to 3403.

North Palos's spending in 2017-18 was 15.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
