Report: Evergreen Park School District spent $19,736 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Evergreen Park Community High School District 231 was up 21.8 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $16,202 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $19,736 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 868 to 819 students over the same period.

Evergreen Park's spending in 2019-20 was 36.2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
