Report: Brookwood School District spent $15,039 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Brookwood School District 167 was up 21.6 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $12,363 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,039 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,189 to 1,167 students over the same period.

Brookwood's spending in 2019-20 was 3.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
