Report: Oak Lawn Hometown School District spent $13,097 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Oak Lawn Hometown School District 123 was up 14.8 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $11,410 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,097 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 3,208 to 3,280 students over the same period.

Oak Lawn Hometown's spending in 2019-20 was 9.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
