The St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lafayette, Indiana, will hold its annual Day of Giving on Wednesday, November 19. The event coincides with the Feast Day of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, who is recognized for her charitable work and dedication to caring for the sick and poor.

For over 125 years, the school has focused on preparing nurses to serve with skill and compassion. Donations from supporters help provide scholarships, upgrade classroom technology, support faculty through the General Fund, and give students resources needed for their education.

“The Day of Giving is very important to everyone at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing,” said Michelle Gerrety, EdD, director of the school. “The funds raised benefit numerous programs and initiatives for our students and faculty. We are very grateful for all who take part in the Day of Giving.”

Students at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing begin hands-on clinical experiences in their first semester. Graduates receive both an RN diploma from the school and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Saint Francis.

The program is approved by the Indiana State Board of Nursing as a Diploma program and holds accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
